The average altitude of Pingnan Baishuiyang Yuanyangxi Scenic Area is between 760-800 meters. It belongs to a subtropical monsoon humid mountain climate, with no severe cold in winter and no extreme hot in summer. Spring is variable in temperature, and autumn is clear and dry, with an average annual temperature of 15.7 ℃. The forest area within the territory is vast, with streams crisscrossing and abundant resources of grass mountains and slopes. The forest coverage rate is 87%. The base contains a large amount of "air vitamin" negative ions, with a negative ion oxygen absorption zone containing 120000 negative ions per cubic meter; Negative ion oxygen absorption zone 1 has a negative ion content of 113000/CM3; Negative ion oxygen absorption zone 2 has a negative ion content of 102000/CM3 (usually only 1000-2000/CM3 in urban areas), making it a "natural oxygen bar"

The scenic area has convenient transportation both inside and outside, with direct access from highways and national highways, as well as tourist roads, sightseeing lanes, walking trails, and boardwalks inside. It has the advantage of a theme line with composite functions such as recreation, experience, and sports. After years of improvement and construction, the base has complete reception facilities and intelligent management systems, which can carry out a variety of health and wellness tourism activities.

In 2024, the Municipal Tourism Development Group will carry out the "Year of Cultural and Tourism Quality Improvement" action deployment, and jointly improve the quality of Baishuiyang Yuanyangxi Scenic Area with China Travel Service Group by introducing professional management talents and advanced management and operation models, concepts, and experiences. Based on the characteristics of the scenic area resources and the needs of the main customer groups, we will focus on the key point of upgrading the secondary consumption products. We will add new secondary consumption projects such as waterfall coffee, waterfront net bag, water park, surfing and drifting transformation, and roof coffee, design more diverse tourism formats, and create more new consumption scenes.
