Read a thousand volumes, traverse a thousand roads.  On April 21-22, more than 130 primary and secondary school students in Jinjiang City embarked on a unique natural exploration journey, entering the national 5A level scenic area - Baishuiyang · Yuanyangxi, experiencing the mysteries of nature between mountains and waters, and experiencing the unique charm of the "walking classroom".   

  Explore the breathtaking scenery of the world and unlock the mysteries of geology. Baishuiyang Yuanyangxi Scenic Area is a world geological park, with the only shallow water square in the world with a total area of 80000 square meters. The flat riverbed is just a stone away, and it is known as the "unique landscape". Children learned about the unique geological formation of Baishuiyang through watching video commentary, explored the millennium long mystery of volcanic rocks and glacial relics, and experienced the wonderful experience of cool streams flowing from their feet.

   Encountering the 'hometown of mandarin ducks' and gaining insights into ecological conservation. After watching the video, the students walked into the Yuanyangxi scenic area, strolled through the deep canyon, observed rare mandarin ducks and macaques, and learned about ecological diversity. Through practical exploration, students have gained a profound understanding of the importance of resource conservation, which not only broadens their horizons but also enhances their awareness of ecological and natural conservation.   

The most beautiful education is on the road. During this study tour, students from Jinjiang stepped out of the classroom to broaden their horizons and hone their willpower through the integration of nature and culture. In the future, students will continue to carry the spirit of exploration and thrive in a broader world !  

Base Introduction

  The Baishuiyang Yuanyangxi World Geopark Primary and Secondary School Research Base is located in the beautiful Baishuiyang Yuanyangxi Scenic Area surrounded by green mountains and clear waters. It has two educational practice venues, the Baishuiyang Geological Museum and the Pingnan Yiyang Yuanyangxi Provincial Nature Reserve Propaganda Center, and is equipped with multi-functional classrooms, workshop themed classrooms, outdoor research classrooms, research apartments, hotels, restaurants, and other complete facilities. It can accommodate nearly a thousand people to carry out research education practice at the same time. In September 2023, it was rated as the "Ningde City Primary and Secondary School Research Practice Education Base".
