Recently, 97 undergraduate students majoring in oil painting, lacquer painting, comprehensive painting, and sculpture from the School of Fine Arts, Fujian Normal University, entered the Yuanyang Creek Scenic Area in Pingnan under the guidance of their teachers to carry out themed sketching activities.
Autumn is a great season for art students to sketch outdoors. The mountains and forests are filled with magnificent scenery of red leaves and layers of forests, allowing you to capture the intense color collisions with your paintbrush. They will freeze the unique beauty of autumn in their eyes on paper through different painting forms such as oil painting, watercolor, and sketching.
Baishuiyang Yuanyangxi Scenic Area boasts waterfalls, water streams, secluded valleys, and beautiful canyons. With a forest coverage rate of up to 86%, it has a large "natural oxygen bar" with up to 150000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter. It is also a world geological park, national scenic spot, national 5A level tourist attraction, provincial-level nature reserve for mandarin ducks and macaques, Ningde city level employee recuperation and research base.
The beautiful waterfall scenery of Yuanyang Creek not only nurtures students' physical and mental well-being, but also provides them with rich creative materials and sources of inspiration. Classmates use pigments to depict vitality and youth, and use brushes to paint beautiful pictures. They held a colorful life drawing activity at Yuanyang Creek and took a group photo under the high mountain waterfall as a memento.
